ARA------------------------------Special Task Force (STF) arrested an awardee of Rs. 50,000 from Patna when he was to flee to Kolkata from Patna by a train. The arrested miscreant was identified as Nayyar Iqbar alias Md Nayyar son of Md Jahagir of Kajitola under Ara town police station in Bhojpur district and the Bhojpur police were hunting to arrest him. The police heaved a sigh of relief with the arrest.
Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that Nayyar Iqbal alias Md Nayyar accused in several criminal cases including Arms Act, murder, extortion and others and the police had announced an award of Rs. 50,000 on his head as he was absconding the Bhojpur was not able to arrest him as he always changed his hideout. The SP further said that meanwhile, the Patna STF arrested him from Patna railway station when he was about to go to Kolkata.
The SP stated that Nayyar Iqbal alias Md. Nayyar was absconding for the last five years and was wanted in the murder of Imran and his sister. On December 6, 2018, he had killed Imran at Shobha Market under Ara town police station and he also had killed Imran’s sister.
