BHOJPUR POLICE RECOVERED BODIES OF TWO LOVE BIRDS FLOATING IN THE RIVER GANGA

ARA----------------------------Bhojpur police recovered bodies of two love birds floating in the river Gana at Kisjawpur Mukti Dham Ghat under Badahara police station in Bhojpur district and brought them to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The deceased were identified as Vikas Kumar Sharma 31 son of late Bijendra Kumar Sharma, a retired army man of Basaudi village under Sikarhatta police station in Bhojpur district and Sarita Kumari 27, a teacher in Bengaluru and daughter of Dilip Nayaj, a police personnel of Patarapalli Ben Katra village of Ganjam district, Odisha. Reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained. Police seized their mobiles and police are investigating the matter. An FIR was lodged with the police under Badahara police station in this regard.

Villagers said that both worshipped in the Bakhorapur Kali temple in the afternoon and spent some time there and came to Keshovpur Mukti Dhan Ghat at the river Ganga and parked the bullet motorcycle bearing registration number WB34 BV/1253 which is registered at Kalijunda under Kekhadgpur airforce station of West Mednipur district in West Bengal, on the bank of the river. Vikas Kumar Sharma put his helmat and purse on the ground and Sarita put off her slippers. They held their hands and sat in the water holding their breath. When they did not come out of the water for quite long time, the locals with the help of divers took their bodies out of the water and informed the police. Police recovered the bodies and brought them to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The police also informed Dilip Nayak and he is exected to come by evening today.

Vikas Kumar Sharma used to work in share marketing currently and was living with his mother Pushplata Devi in his won house near the Piro DSP residence at Piro Bazaar in Bhojpur district.

Pushpalate Devi, mother of Vikas Kumar Sharma said that he had gone out of the house at about 8.30am saying that he was going on training. He called her at about 11am asking her if she had had taken breakfast. When she replied in affirmative, he asked as to whether she was not lying and after this he disconnected the call.  

She further said that when her husband was posted in Siliguri and Vikas Kumar Sharma had gone there once where he met Sarita who taught in a school but she did not know as to when Sarita came to Bhojpur. She satated that Sarita was a good girl and she seldom talked to her but Vikas Kumar Sharma assured her that Sarita was his friend only and he would marry where she wanted him to. She said that Vikas Kumar Sharma had bought the bullet motorcycle from Sri Sai Automobile, Awasgarh, Medanipur on April 6, 2021.

SDPO 2 Ranjeet Kumar Singh said that the police informed their families on the basis of the documents recovered from them. He said that suicide is not being suspected because the intention of the teacher from Bengaluru to Bhojpur to commit suicide is not being suspected. The real reason is being investigated.
