ONE KILLED, SEVEN INJURED AFTER THE VEHICLE DASHED A TRUCK ON ROADSIDE

ARA------------------------One person was killed while seven others injured when a Pick UP van dashed a truck parked on roadside from behind near Poultry Farm at Sikarhatta Khurd village under Sikarhatta police station on Bihia-Bihata State Highway in the morning. The Pick Up van was returning from a marriage ceremony. The Pick Up van was badly smashed and all the dowry items were scattered on the road. Police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospial for postmortem and admitted the injured in the Piro Primary Health Centre but the doctor referred two of them to the Ara Sadar Hospital. The deceased was identified as Kallu Kumar 18 son of Bhola Rajwar of Mishrawaliya village under Sanjhauli police station in Rohtas district while the injured were identified as Vishnu Kumar 25 son of Saraswati Kumar, Joshi Kumar 25 son of Ramchandra Kumar, Govind Kumar 17 son of Godhan Ram, Sanjay Paswan 35 son of Ram Chhavi Paswan, Babudhan Kumar 40 son of late Sita Ram Paswan of Maduri village under Charpokhari police station, Laxman Kumar 60 son of Sri Bhagwan and Sri Bhagwan 45 son of Kapil Ram of Sakala village under Akodhigola police station in Rohtas district. Badly injured Joshi Kumar and Babudhan Kumar were referred to the Ara Sadar Hospital.

Ramashrya Rajwar, uncle of the deceased said that he had gone to his cousin sister Patali Devi at village Maduri under Charpokhari police station to attend a marriage ceremony there. Whece on Friday, he went to Jaipur Chandi village under Akodhigola police station in Rohtas district to attend the marriage ceremony of Sunil Ram son of Saryu Ram, his relative. In the morning, he had loaded the items received as wedding gifts on a pick-up and was returning to Maduri village under Charpokhari police station along with all the people sitting in it. When the pick-up van reached near Poultry Farm at Sikarhatta Khurd village under Sikarhatta police station on Bihia-Bihata State Highway in Bhojpur district, the driver lost control over the steering, and the pick-up dashed a truck parked on roadside from behind and was smashed badly. Kallu Kumar was was sitting on the roof of the vehicle was killed on spot while others were injured.
