EXCISE DEPARTMENT SEIZED 32 CARTONS OF IMFL AND ARRESTED TWO LIQUOR SMUGGLERS

Ara (RNI) Sleuth of the Excise Department arrested two liquor smugglers and seized 32 cartons of India Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and seized the Scorpio from near Toll Plaza at Kulharia under Koelwar police station on Ara-Patna main road in Bhojpur disrrict. The liquor smugglers were identified as Dheeraj Kuer son of Dhanik Rai of Mahnaar under Deshari police station in Vaishali district and Sanjeet Kumar son of Ram Jee Prasad of Sawareji village under Meerganj police station in Gopalganj district in Bihar. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Koelwar police station against the arrested liquor smugglers and sent them to jail after interrogation. 

The Excise Department got information in the night that a big consignment of liquor was being taken to Patna in a Scorpio. A team of the Excise Department laid trap near Kulharia Toll Plaza under Koelwar police station on Ara-Patna main road. As the Scorpio came there, the sleuths of the Excise Department intercepted the Scorpio and when searched, IMFL packed in 32 cartons was seized. The sleuths arrested two liquor smugglers and also seized the Scorpio.
