ARA-----------------------------Under the banner of Agrasen Samiti, Ara, Maharaj Agrasen 1Jayanti was celebrated with great pomp and enthusiasm. The members of the samiti garlanded the portrait of Maharaja Agrasen and also offered prayers. Later Prasad was distributed among the members and the guests.
The members said that Maharaja Agrasen is considered god of the business class and Agrawal got their origin from Maharaja Agrasen. Goddess Laxmi had special blessings for him and with her blessing he established a vast empire in and around Agroha in Haryana. They further said that his saffron flag was symbol of Non-violence and the Sun and 18 rays of the Sun symbolized 18 gotras.
