ARA----------------------------One newlywed woman was hanged to death at Masadh Tola village under Udwantnagar police station. The deceased was identified as Anjali Kumari wife of Vishal Kumar. The mother of the deceased Urmila Devi lodged a named FIR with the police under Gajrajganj police outpost against six persons including the husband of the deceased. Police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants.
Quoting the FIR, the SHO Gajrajganj police outpost said that Anjali Kumari 19 daughter of Akalu Mahato of Balvant Tola under Doriganj police station in Chhapara district was married to Vishal Kumar son of Dhan Ji Prasad of Masadh Tola under Gajrajganj police outpost in Bhojpur district on June 12, 2023. Since the in-laws tortured her physically and mentally merely for a car. Anju Kumari had informed her parents regarding this but her parents could not meet their demand due to financial crunch and tried to solve the problem in the village panchayat but the in-laws did not refrain from their habit and continued torturing her and at last they hanged her to the ceiling of the house and killed her.
