YOUTH BEATEN TO DEATH IN BHOJPUR VILLAGE

Ara: A fourth grade employee was beaten to death at Majhauwa village under Ara town police station in the night on September 30, 2023. The police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The deceased was identified as Rakesh Singh 28 son of Langad Singh of Majhauwa village under Ara town police station. Reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained. The deceased worked as a fourth grade employee at Badahara block office. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Ara town police station in this regard and the police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants.

Surendra Singh, uncle of the deceased said that Roushan Singh, a friend of his nephew came at about 9pm and took Rakesh Singh with him to a Kali temple in the village. After two hours, he got information that Rakesh Singh was lying on the steer of the temple unconscious. He along with other family members rushed to the spot and took him to the Ara Sadar Hospital where the doctor declared him dead.

On the other hand, Roushan Singh said that he along with his friend Rakesh Singh and Bhagedan was at the temple. Meanwhile, Rakesh Singh called Hulchul Bhaiya of the village saying didn’t he know him. Humchul Bhaiya at once came there and thrashed Rakesh Singh badly and when he fell unconscious, he threw him on the steps of the temple and escaped from the scene. Roushan Singh blamed Hulchul Bhaiya of beating and killing Rakesh Singh and he denied any enmity with Hulchul Bhaiya.
