ARA------------------------One elderly person was killed while about half a dozen including three women were injured when a sand laden speeding tractor dashed an auto-rickshaw from behind at Kayamnagar Bridge under Giddha police station in Bhojpur district in the late evening on May 22, 2025. The deceased was identified as Awadh Mahato 45 son of late Mahendra Mahato of Matiyara village under Giddha police station. Police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem and admitted the injured in the private nursing home.
SHO Giddah police station Umus Salama said that about half a dozen persons including three women were going to Birampur from Ara when it came on the Kayamnagar Bridge under Giddha police station came, a sand laden vehicle from wrong side dashed the auto-rickshaw hard from behind due to which the auto-rickshaw rammed into a tractor parked nearby in which an elderly person was killed on spot while about half a dozen persons including three women were injured.
