BHOJPUR POLICE ARREST TWO MISCREANTS FOR MURDER

ARA---------------------------Bhojpur police arrested two youths in connection with murder of wielding shopkeeper and a student of graduation Vikas Kumar 22 and sent them to jail after interrogation. The arrested miscreants were identified as Chandan Kumar and Jitendra Kumar. Chandan Kumar was said to be the lover of Vikas Kumar’s beloved while Jitendra Kumar was his friend.

ASP Parichay Kumar said that Vikas Kumar 22 was watching his field at Jaitpur village under Udwantnagar police station in the night on April 29, 2025 when some armed miscreants shot him dead and escaped from the scene. The police recovered the body from a bush near the outskirt of Indrapura in the morning on April 30, 2025 and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. An FIR was lodged with the police under Udwantnagar police station in this regard. The ASP stated that during investigation it came to light that Vikas Kumar was murdered under a well-planned conspiracy. During interrogation, the arrested miscreants confessed that they had killed Vikas Kumar.

The ASP further said that Vikas Kumar was in love with a girl of Ichari village under Ayar police station in Bhojpur district and both had talked for hours. But after some time, the girl came in contact with Chandan Kumar and developed love affairs. Meanwhile, marriage of girl was settled with a relative of Chandan Kumar but Vikas Kumar frequently called her. Angered by this, the girl complained Chandan Kumar and so Chandan Kumar along with his friend Jitendra Kumar and others hatched a plan to eliminate Vikas Kumar. The ASP added that to execute their plan, they called Vikas and shot his dead. He stated that after institution of FIR, the police swung into action and arrested Chandann Kumar from Madura village under Gadhani police station and Jitendra Kumar from Harigaon village under Jagdishpur police station in Bhojpur district. Later the police, on their revelation, recovered a country made pistol, one live cartridge, three mobiles and some other articles from them. He said that some persons are also involved in the murder and so the police are conducting raids to arrest them.
