In the evening on May 16, 2025, a mahjor political development took place in Ara when Jan Adhikar Party (Loktantrik) party Supremo and MP Pappu Yadav slonh with his hundreds of supporters protested in front of the office of the Bharatiya Janata Party at Bampali on Patna-Buxar Highway and burnt the effigy of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a symbol of resentment against the administrative action.
