FAMILY MEMEBRS CREATED RUCKUS AT THE ARA SADAR HOSPITAL TWO DAYS AFTER THE DEATH OF A WOMAN

ARA-------------------------Family members and acquantances created ruckus at the Ara Sadar Hospital two days after the death of a woman Priyanka Kumari24 wife of Pradyum Kumar of Khushahalpur village under Ara Muffassil police station alleging the doctor for negligence in treatment and operation being carried out despite the diagnosis of Hepatitis B. The security guards on duty and some others somehow settled the matter.

Pradyum Kumar, husband of the deceased said that he admitted her wife Priyanka Kumari at the Ara Sadar Hospital for delivery where the doctors advised operation for delivery after examination. At the advice of the doctor he consented the operation and the doctor performed an operation and delivered a male child. Later the doctor told him that his wife was suffering from Hepatitis B and her condition is very serious. Later the lady doctor referred her to the Patna Medical College and Hospital in precarious condition but she breathed her last on way to the PMCH while the new born child is being treated at a private nursing home in Patna.

He further said that after the creamation, he came to the lady doctor to know as to way the operation was done despite having full knowledge of Hepatitis B and without informing her family members. However, the statement of the hospital administration could not be obtained so far in this regard.
