GANGA EROSION PREVENTION WORK STARTED AT MANIRAI TOLA IN BHOJPUR
-Badahra MLA Raghwendra Pratap Singh inaugurated the anti-erosion work with the estimated cost of Rs. Thirteen crore on the bank of the river Ganga at Manirai Tola of Badahara block in Bhojpur district. Raghwendra Pratap Singh inaugurated the project formally by breaking coconut and performing Puja in presence of large number of villagers, public representatives and departmental officials.The MLA felicitated the workers engaged in anti-erosion work with shawls and garlands. He said that the hard-working labourers are the backbone of any developmentn work and their respect is our priority.

Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that under this project, many villages including Manirai Ke Tola, Salempur, Baghakol, Teraria and others will get permanent relief from the severe erosion of the river Ganges. This work will not only protect the land but also will keept people’s homes, farms and infrastructure safe. He further said that the flood control department has started anti-erosion work at many places in Badahara block and the government has allocated adequate funds for this. And his effort is that all the work should be completed on time and with quality so that the people can get direct benefit. He further said that that the shcemes of Bihar government and Central governemnt asre now being implemented in Badahra block. Work is progressing rapidly in areas such as education, health, roads, irrigation and flood protection. He assessed that he has become an MLA for service and as long as he has the trust of the people, he will stand with them in every happiness and sorrow of the area.
On this occasion, Executive Engineer of Flood Control Department Abhishek Kumar, Assistant Engineer Kumari Sundaram, Junior Engineer Rajkumar, Contractor Suman Singh, Mukesh Singh (Chief), Pankaj Singh (Chief), Sugani Pandey, Ritesh Pandey, Deepak Dubey, Hundreds of villagers including Munna Singh, Ujjwal Singh, Manoj Singh, Gariban Pandey, Hridayananda Pandey, Mukhiya Pandey, Vivek Singh, Halla Yadav, Ashok Singh were present.
