ARA---------------------------One person was killed while eight persons were injured when two vehicles collided head-on near a Petrol Pump at Dekudha village under Charpokhari police station on Ara-Sasaram State Highway in Bhojpur district. The deceased was identified as Rocky Singh 40, RLSP leader and son of Sanjay Singh of Havelipur village under Charpokhari police station in Bhojpur district while the injured was identified as Prabhat Singh 32 son of Manoj Singh of the same village, Vinod Singh 32 son of Om Prakash Singh, Hazari Singh 61 son of late Jeetan Singh, Mahendra Singh 60 of late Ram Nath Singh, Vijay Singh 65 son of late Baliram Singh, Lalan Singh 68 son of late Jagarnath Singh, Surendra Singh 70 and Raj Bihari Singh 60 of Lahthan village under Agiaw Bazaar police station. Police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem and admitted the injured to the Charpokhari Primary Health Centre.
SHO Charpokhari police station said that some people on Scorpio were returning from Chandi village under Charpokhari police station after attending a marriage ceremony and when reached near a Petrol Pump at Devkudha village under Charpokhari police station, a speeding Alto Car in which Rocky Singhm RLSP leader was on the driving seat, collided head-on with the Scorpio in which all the persons on the Scorpio and Alto were injured. The police rushed them to the Charpokhari Primary Health Centre but the doctor referred Rocky Singh to the Patna Medical College and Hospital in precarious condition where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
