VEER BANKURA BECAMES A VICTIM OF POLITICS, THE STATUE OF BABU KUER SINGH IS WAITING TO BE UNVEILED

ARA---------------------------The unveiling of the statue of freedom fighter Babu Kuer Singh installed in the Ara railway station campus has become a victim of politics but the Rashtriya Swarna Kranti Sena and Kuer Sena have unveiled it on April 23, 2025 i.e. on the day of Veer Kuer Singh Victory Day in a simple ceremony by garlanding the statue. May the Bhojpur district and police administration, former MP R K Singh and the present MP Sudama Prasad be able to withstand this wave of rebellion?

On the initiative of the former MP R K Singh, the statue of Babu Kuer Singh was installed with much fanfare in the Ara railway station premises but in the meantime, R K Singh had to face defeat in the 2024 Lok Sabha election and since a controversy has arisen regarding the unveiling of the statue. First the statue of Babu Kuer Singh was placed in the front and then in the back and the old metal statue was rejected by the then MP which is still kept neglected in the Railway’s IOW office premises situated near the goods shed of the Ara railway station.

National President, Sawarna Kranti Sena Poona Singh garlanded the neglected statue and paid respect.

Despite being kept in a safe place, the sword of the statue made of metal is missing. On receiving this information, Poonam Singh along with her supporters Manjit Singh, Jitendra Singh, Pappu Singh, Man Ji Singh, Ajay Singh. Ashok Singh, Raju Dubey and others reached there and garlanded the statue and expressed displeasure over the maintenance of the statue.

On the other hand, on the question of unveiling of the statue, Station Manager N K Rai and Station Master and others remained silent on the issue. In such a situation, a fact emerged that it was decided on February 19, 2025 that the BJP’s Union Power Minister Manohar Lal Khattar will virtually unveil this statue and the former Ara MP R K Singh and Union Minister Nityanand Rai will be present at the statue site but the matter was shelved due to the controversy over the unveiling of the statue because the present Ara MP Sudama Prasad expressed his displeasure with the Central Government over the issue of repairing the statue and many other issues. He had also raised the demand for unveiling is soon. There is a discussion in the area that due to the dispute that has arisen between the two titans, the statue will not be unveiled even on Babu Kuer Singh’ Victory Day this year too.

Meanwhile, National President, National Rashtriya Kunwar Sena, NIrmal Singh Shakravar and National President, Rashtriya Sawarna Kranti Sena Poonam Singh announced that now they will not let Babu Saheb’s statue become a victim of politics and on the Victory Day i.e. on April 23, 2025, the statue will be unveiled because Babu Saheb was the hero of the first war of Independence and not of any party.

The statue was constructed by the power energy company REC, Maharashtra Company under the administrative control which is under the Central Government. Whatever may be the case, the unveiling of the statue has become a victim of the politics of the outgoing and present MPs.
