VILLAGERS BLOCKED ROAD AFTER A YOUTH WAS INJURED

ARA----------------------Motorcyle borne youth was badly injured when a speeding sand laden truck dashed the motorcycle in the morning at Khutaha Bazaar under Imadpur police station on Bihia-Bihata main road in Bhojpur district. The injured was admitted to a private nursing home. The injured was identified as Dimpu Kumar 25 son of Radha Govind Singh of Savana village.

As the news spread, the villagers became agitated and they blocked the State Highway by stranding trucks and tractors and some other hurdles on road. They raised slogans against the district administration and paralyzed movement of vehicles for about four hours. They were demanding compensation of Rs. 10 lakh from the truck owner and a no entry.

It was said that Dimpu Kumar was returning from the house of her sister at Dusadhi Badhar under Piro police station on his motorcycle when a speeding sand loaded truck dashed the motorcycle injuring him badly. It was also said that the owner of the truck was ready to get the treatment of the injured but there was a long tussle over this and traffic remained blocked. Later the blockade was removed after the positive response of the police offier and lodging of an FIR, seizure of the truck and arrest of the truck driver.
