SONALI  SINGH BECOMES AN EXAMPLE OF HUMANITY, TAKES A UNIQUE STEP TOWARDS WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

ARA----------------------------Sonali Singh, a social worker of Badahra Assembly Constituency of Bhojpur district has taken an inspiring step towars women empowerment. She organized a grand ‘Mahila Chaupal’ at Farana village on the occasion of Shivcharcha. Thousands of rural women participated in this Chaupal.

The programme started with Vedic chanting and traditional rituals. The village women played drums and sang devotional songs that made the atmosphere devotional and positive. The purpose of the Chaupal was not limited to only religious events rather its main purpose was to give women a platform where they could express their views openly and discuss social issues. Sonali Singh distributed Sarees amongst thousands of women saying that this is not just a saree but a symbol of respect for women and recognition of their contribution to society. The face of women beamed with happiness after receiving sarees. During the Chaupal, women openly shared their views on topics such as education, health, domestic violence, self-reliance. This even proved that when women are given a safe and respectable platform, they can talk openly about their problms and come forward for solutions.

Women from other nearby villages also participated in this even in large numbers. Locals openly praised this effort and called it an important step to connect the society and make women aware.

Speaking on the occasion, Sonali Singh said that Mahila Chaupal is a small but stron effort towards strengthening the role of women in the society and making them self-reliant. She also pledged that such events will be organized continuously in future so that rural women get a chance to move forward and can become partners in social change. She added that this even not only beame an example towards women empowerment but also strengthened the spirit of social service. This initiative proved that when a woman comes forward to serve the society, she becomes a new light—a ray of hope which can inspire the rntire village and society.
