BHOJPUR POLICE ARREST AN AWARDEE OF Rs. 25,000, JAILED

ARA-----------------------Bihar STF and Bhojpur police jointly conducted raid at Babu Bazaar area under Ara town police station and arrested a miscreant in connection with outraging modesty after kidnapping case. The miscreant was identified as Mantu Rai son of Rajendra Rai of Jamira village under Ara Muffassil police station. He was absconding for the last 11 years and an award of Rs. 25,000 was announced on his head.

ASP Parichay Kumar said that Mantu Rai had kidnapped a girl of the area under Ara town police station and outraged her modesty in the year 2014. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Ara town police station. Since Mantu Rai was absconding. Police searched for him everywhere but in vain. The police headquarters announced an award of Rs. 25,000 on his head and the police had attached his property on April 5, 2025. The ASP said that meanwhile the police got information that Mantu Rai was seen at Babu Bazaar. The police immediately swung into action and conducted raid at Babu Bazaar and arrested Mantu Rai. Later the police sent him to jail after interrogation.
