CBI ARRESTED PRINCIPAL CENTRAL UNIVERSITY IN BIHAR RED HANDED WHILE TAKING BRIBE

SASARAM---------------------------A CBI team conducted raid at Sasaram Central University in Rohtas district on May 21, 2025 and arrested the Principal red handed while taking a bribe of Rs. 32 thousand. The arrested Principal was identified as Mayank Kumar Srivastava.

Principal, Sasaram Central University Mayank Kumar Srivastava had demanded money from the complainant Prince Kumar who is the owner of a private firm ‘Mahi Enterprises.’ This firm is registered as a supplier of the Government e-Marketplace (GEM) portal. The Principal had demanded money from Prince Kumar to clear old bills worth Rs. 1.92 lakh.

Prince Kumar, proprietor of Mahi Enterprises who supplied materials to the Kendriya Vidyalay, had complained to the CBI that in lieu of payment of the bill of Rs. 1.92 lakh, Principal Mayank Kumar Srivastava had demanded Rs. 32000. On the basis of this complaint, the CBI team, after verification, arrived and took the Principal under custody and interrogated him and also continued investigation. The CBI team laid a trap and arrested Mayank Kumar Srivastava red handed while accepting the bribe. The CBI team also searched the residential premises of the Principal. The team produced him before a special CBI court today. The agency officials grilled the Principal as part of further investigation into the case. The news of the raid spread like wildfire and there was a chaos. The CBI team arrested the Principal on the charge of taking brike and took him with them to Patna.
